Leadership Skills

"One of America's outstanding educators. He is a problem solver and many of the programs he has developed have gained national recognition."
Dr. James K. Zaharis
Mesa Public Schools Superintendent (Retired)
Special Assistant to the President of Arizona State University

Leadership is an elusive commodity. It has as many definitions. There is no single set of traits or skills that are common to all leaders. Individual skills, however, can be learned and applied in the same manner as the master craftsman uses his tools. I have, for many years, studied the work of the five individuals pictured below. When used as a conjunctive unit, they have proven to be very effective tools in bringing about change in organizations. Learning these skills will make a difference.
