Goals are the major issues that must be addressed in order for the organization to accomplish its mission

Example:
We will provide high quality educational experiences for all students.

The strategic plan may contain one or more goals. Goals begin to bring specificity to the process. Care must be taken not to dilute the effort by asking too many to do too much.
