Actions are the very specific tasks that must be accomplished in order to achieve the goal.

Example:
We will develop a instructional program that will prepare all students to pass the examination that the state requires for high school graduation.


Actions are the nuts and bolts of the strategic plan. They specify what is to be done, by whom, at what cost and by when. They must be reviewed by all involved to ensure that a solution in one area does not cause a problem in another. Action plans are the accountability factors in the process.
